the kinds of fasting according to the Javanese people

MONTH of Ramadan 1432 AH will arrive. This month has been waiting for millions of Muslims, because all sin is believed to be smelted after running the obligatory fasting during the month.
Actually fasting is an important thing to improve one's spiritual. In all religions, fasting is usually mentioned about this in many different versions. According to the metaphysical spiritual perspective, fasting has a very good effect and greatly to the body and mind.
By the Java community, the month of fasting is also believed to be a month full of blessing and has its own privileges. Javanese philosophy states, fasting as a means to galvanize the soul, body, sharpen the sense of inner-pangrasa olahrasa, and purify the hearts and minds.
The penghayat kejawen have found methods to evoke the human spirit to become a strong soul and natural broad thinking, one of which is to find fasts with Javanese tradition. In Javanese spiritual civilization, an unusual penghayat kejawen do with a count of a particular day of fasting to raise their metaphysical spiritual abilities.
Various kinds of fasts according to Javanese tradition is as follows;
1. MutihWhen doing mutih fasting, one is not allowed to eat anything but white rice and water only. When consumed, even white rice should not be any added ingredients including sugar and salt. Before doing this mutih fasting, fasting is usually an offender must bathe and wash it first before reading a particular mantra.
2. NgeruhIn this fast melakoni person may only eat vegetables / fruits only. It is forbidden to eat meat, fish, eggs, and so on.
3. NgeblengFasting Ngebleng is to stop all normal daily activities. Someone who melakoni Ngebleng fasting should not eat, drink, get out of the house / room, or sexual activity.Sleep-time must be reduced. Usually someone who did not fasting Ngebleng out of his room during the day and night (24 hours). At dusk one day there can be no lights or light-illuminating any room. His room must be dark with no light at all. In this fast diving is allowed out of the room just to pee alone.

7. NganyepFasting is fasting which is only allowed to eat with no taste. Almost the same as Mutih, the difference is more diverse food origin with the provisions it has no sense.
8. NgidangOnly allowed to eat the foliage, and water only. Apart from that is not allowed.
9. NgepelNgepel means a fist full. Fasting requires a person to eat in one day at a lump of rice alone. Sometimes allowed to board a rice two or three a day.
10. NgasrepOnly allowed to eat and drink with no taste, drinking is allowed only 3 times a day.
11. Monday-ThursdayFasting is done only on Monday and Thursday just as the name suggests. Fasting is synonymous with the religion of Islam. Because it is the Prophet Muhammad suggested it.
12. WungonFasting is fasting lethal, should not eat, drink and sleep for 24 hours.
13. Tapa JejegNot sit for 12 hours
